There is a place in the middle of the active development

of Mississauga where lie 200 acres

and a rolling lane that leads beyond numerous

“no trespassing” signs.

Finally past the bramble and brier

stands an abandoned home.

Needless to say, this one took my heart!

When I discovered the greenhouse extension

off of the kitchen,

I immediately lapsed into a dream of what this

home must have been like in its day …

When the family was young,

and Sunday afternoons were so “slow”

you could almost watch the flowers grow!
